Brazil Remains Net Exporter of Made-Ups Despite Import Growth

Brazil remained a net exporter of textile made-ups in 2007, despite continued import growth and the record level of the Brazilian real against the U.S. dollar.  November exports increased 30.9 percent to 5,204,237 kilograms, with the majority of the exports going to the U.S. and Argentina.  January through November cumulative exports grew 5.5 percent to 56.900 million kilograms.  58.3 percent of all exports or approximately 33.173 million kilograms went to the U.S.
